My future job


Hi everybodyy
First at all, I´m always very insecure about my career or my future job haha I admire people who know what they want:p
I think that I would like a job related with Archeology (lol) or History. Personally, I find very interesting to study plants and animals fossils, digging in the ground and then analyzing it.
I would looove to go outdoors and having any kind of job to do it😊 It is one of my goals in life. I´d love to travel a lot and anywhere, or live out of Chile (or Santiago, at least) I´m very bored of Santiago so my dream is to live in El Cajón del Maipo or the south of Chile (like Villarrica) and have a not so city life.
I study Anthropolgy and I’m not very interesting of having a lot of money haha (or else I would have studied something else)
As you can see, I don´t have a plan with my life because I think that things are always changing, and I can´t schedule something to long term. I guess that I will know on the way so now I´ll just relax about it😊
Finally, if I don´t have a job related to my career, I would open a coffee shop, try to be a swimmer teacher or to live in the countryside selling vegetables and natural products (like creams, essential oils and treatments)

    the future is always uncertain, I didn't know I wanted to be an English teacher until my third year of university!

Hello everyonee I would like to do my postgraduate studies about migration. In fact, I take a subject this semester related, called “Contemporary Problems of Anthropology: Multicultural Societies and Migrations” and I´ve tried since I started this career to do the Chair of Contemporary Racisms and Migrations teached by María Emilia Tijoux. In this studies I would like to learn about racism, cultural wealth/diversity, migration rights and laws. I really enjoy this theme so I always try to read about it or watch talks. I consider it necessary for the moment that we live, the world is more globalized over time and the race issues are one of the historical bases that has supported the discriminatory paradigm and supremacy of some over others. Also I would like to do a migration study because it is something that you can see in your daily life, it`s something that`s happening right now: we see in the streets, work, family, etc, and I think that is very cool that identities change and ...

My Career

When I was a child I was really interested in horses (I collected toys and I had a lot of drawings to paint) and I realized that the best option to take care of horses would become a veterinarian. Personally, throughout my schooling I never felt a career that fascinated me or that totally fulfilled my interests. I think that there are no careers in which we can be completely satisfied because each person has different skills and interests. At the end I apply to Anthropology because this science try to understand humans in all his senses and therefore it was a very broad career. My experience at the university at the moment has been very good. There´s a lot of vegan food and friendly people. Honestly I don´t know what kind of job I’d like to have but I hope to know soon!

A country I would like to visit

Hi. Honestly, I’d like to travel for all the countries of the world to meet the different cultures and to live all kind of experiences that I could have. But right now, the first country that came to my mind is Australia. I would like to visit it because seems like the perfect place to have a nice time: I imagine myself going to the beach, surfing, seeing kangoroos and koalas, meeting cities and the red desert. I know a lot of things about Australia because my English teacher was Australian an I was going to do an exchange in Melbourne when I was in school (finally didn´t because my mom was scared) He teach me aussie slangs and help me to understand a little bit of the accent because I found it very hard, he always said to me that was a “mixture” of American and English accent and talk to me about the martu people. After this, I always wanted to live in Australia and study English while I work.
